In 2018, at least 69 practitioners died due to the persecution. They include peasants, workers, small business owners, professors, PhD degree holders, engineers, school principals, teachers, agriculture experts, military veterans, and others. Eight died while serving in prison. Four died in detention centers. Another 30 died shortly after being released, but all due to the mistreatment experienced in prisons or detention centers. Twenty seven died due to repeated persecution and harassment, although not directly due to recent torture in prisons or detention centers. Those who died of persecution experienced illegal imprisonment, illegal detention, intimidation, torture, use of unknown drugs, and slave labor. The victims were aged 60 years old on average. The oldest was 77 while the youngest was 40. Fifteen of them were older than 70. 13、辽宁本溪市吕彦坤含冤离世 辽宁五十九岁的法轮功学员吕彦坤遭河南省济源市法院非法判刑六年后，二零一七年初被秘密送往郑州监狱，在监狱被迫害出现“肝腹水”、“肝癌晚期”，监狱和本溪司法部门一再拖延释放时间，二零一八年五月二日回到家中十八天后含冤离世。吕彦坤多次被非法关押、劳教判刑迫害，长期流离失所；二零一五年年一月被济源市国保警察设圈套绑架。 14、黑龙江省牡丹江市东宁市吕树彬含冤离世 牡丹江吕树彬被非法抓捕之前 牡丹江吕树彬被接回家之后 黑龙江省牡丹江市东宁市法轮功学员吕树彬，二零一八年五月十七日被呼兰监狱所谓“保外就医”放回来时，完全不能自理，瘦得皮包骨了，但是肚子却肿得很大，吃不下什么东西，歪一会儿，坐直一会儿，于五月二十九日凌晨含冤离世，终年五十六岁。吕树彬二零一二年开始修炼法轮大法。他是东宁第一个利用沼气种植绿色蔬菜的人，当时电视台两次采访他。二零一五年二月被绑架、枉判三年半。 15、重庆市周基碧被迫害致死 重庆市铜梁区六十八岁的法轮功学员周基碧，在中共对法轮功的迫害中曾经被非法判刑三年，二零一四年七月二十日再次被绑架，非法判刑三年半，在重庆市女子监狱，被迫害致病危，保外求医，每周强制在政法委司法部门报到，于二零一八年六月九日三点多钟含冤离世。 16、江苏省江阴市朱星河被迫害致死 江苏省江阴市法轮功学员朱星河，遭多次绑架，被非法关押在看守所、劳教所、监狱，并遭酷刑迫害。二零一四年十二月二十二日又被绑架、被江阴市法院非法判刑三年半，在苏州黄埭监狱，遭各种体罚、药物迫害，保外就医，二零一八年六月二十三日大量吐血后离世，时年五十四岁。 17、黑龙江鸡西市赵春艳被迫害致死 黑龙江鸡西市恒山区法轮功学员赵春艳，遭受五年冤狱折磨，在黑龙江女子监狱被迫害得奄奄一息，二零一八年七月十六日被家人用120 急救车接回家后，于七月二十八日凌晨含冤离世，终年六十五岁。 赵春艳 赵春艳被迫害后 赵春艳生前说：“他们打我时说我有病，强行灌药，我的牙被捌掉一颗。警察肖淑芬（警号2303055），天天看着我，灌完药不让上厕所、不让吐，肖淑芬灌完药让我张开嘴看嘴里还有没有药，一天两次灌药，灌了多长时间也记不清了，也不知道她们给我灌的什么药，每次灌完药之后都是腹泻不止，后来就不能吃东西了，田艳茹说有粥你不喝吃馒头泡水，我说这都是你们给造成的，把我迫害成这样的，牙都被捌掉了。” 18、河南新乡市马桂娥被迫害致死 河南新乡市法轮功学员马桂娥被绑架迫害，旧病复发，出现严重病状，法院违法在看守所开庭，非法判她一年，二零一七年八月十八日被劫持到河南新乡第五女子监狱关押继续迫害，于二零一八年二月保外就医，八月二十三日含冤离世，终年66 岁左右。 19、江苏省连云港市仲崇斌，因控告迫害元凶江泽民，遭报复性迫害 江苏省连云港市法轮功学员仲崇斌，因控告迫害元凶江泽民，遭报复性迫害，被非法判刑三年，在洪泽湖监狱被迫害的身体非常虚弱，体重不足七十斤，于二零一八年六月十二日回到家中，八月十四日含冤离世。 20、天津市任东生在天津市滨海监狱被迫害致疯致死 被迫害之前的任东生和妻子张立芹 被迫害致疯的任东生 天津市静海区法轮功学员任东生，历经数年被迫害致疯的折磨后，二零一八年九月十二日含冤离世。任东生二零零三年修炼法轮大法后获得新生，二零零六年三月八日被静海区国保、610绑架，半年后被冤判五年刑期，在天津港北监狱（现滨海监狱）迫害，二零一一年三月七日期满转送洗脑班继续迫害，被迫害精神失常。 21、河南省焦作市许玉盘因依法控告江泽民被迫害致死 河南省焦作市法轮功学员许玉盘，因依法控告中共前头目江泽民，二零一五年十二月三日遭警察绑架，后被非法判刑三年，在河南省新乡女子监狱被迫害致命悬一线时才被释放。许玉盘回到家后不久，于二零一八年十月十七日含冤离世。 22、江苏法轮功学员朱星河被迫害致死 江苏江阴市法轮功学员朱星河，在中共对法轮功持续十九年的迫害中，多次遭受绑架、非法关押迫害，二零一五年五月又遭非法判刑三年半。二零一八年六月二十二日刑满释放，但朱在刑满后第一天——六月二十三日早晨到下午，几次大量的呕血后离世，呕出的是大量的血块。朱星河，男，一九六五年出生，五十四岁，本科毕业于淡水养殖专业，一九九六年六月份从江都多种经营管理局调到江阴市陆桥中学任职。 Deaths during
